Job Summary
The Kitchen Production Team Member plays a crucial role in kitchen production by ensuring clients orders are properly filled and ready for departure from facility. Understanding proper food safety and storage, ensuring food quality, and compliance with company standards is key to being successful in this role. This position involves food preparation when needed, washing, peeling, cutting, and measuring ingredients, operating packaging equipment, and maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen. This position is for someone with great attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Loading pans/ovens/cambros.
- Performs prep work such as washing, peeling, cutting and loading pans/ovens.
- Weigh and measure designated ingredients.
- Operates packaging equipment if needed and participates in all areas of kitchen production.
- Carries pans, kettles and trays of food to and from workstations, stove and refrigerator in accordance with safety standards.
- Stores food in designated areas following wrapping, dating, food safety and rotation procedures.
- Clean work areas, equipment, and utensils.
- Distributes supplies utensils and portable equipment.
- Utilizes approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures, and standard portion control.
- Ensures compliance with company service standards.
- Complies with all sanitation and safety requirements.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- The ability to follow and understand written and verbal direction.
- Basic math skills required.
- Work both independently or as part of a team.
- This position requires standing, walking, lifting, and bending throughout entire work day.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. repetitively.
- Climb a ladder.
- Weigh and measures designated ingredients.
- Operates bag line if needed and participates in all areas of kitchen production
- Carries pans, kettles and trays of food to and from workstations, stove and refrigerator in accordance with safety standards.
- Stores food in designated areas following wrapping, dating, food safety and rotation procedures.
- Cleans work areas, equipment and utensils.
- Distributes supplies, utensils and portable equipment.
- Utilizes approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures and standard portion control.
