Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and versatile Handyman to join our team and ensure the smooth operation and maintenance of our facilities. Duties
- Perform general repairs including carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, painting, and drywall repairs to maintain facility integrity.
- Conduct routine inspections of buildings, fixtures, and equipment to identify issues early and address them promptly.
- Install or upgrade fixtures, appliances, locks, shelving, and other hardware as needed.
- Respond quickly to maintenance requests from staff or management to resolve issues efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety standards by ensuring work areas are organized and hazards are addressed.
- Keep detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and parts used for accountability.
- Collaborate with vendors or contractors for specialized repairs or installations when necessary.
Requirements
- Proven experience in general maintenance or handyman roles with a broad skill set across multiple trades.
- Ability to troubleshoot problems effectively and execute repairs independently.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and basic appliance repair.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to maintenance challenges.
- Physical stamina to perform manual tasks including lifting heavy objects, climbing ladders, and working in various environments.
- Valid driver’s license preferred; certification in relevant trades (e.g., electrician license or plumbing certification) is a plus but not mandatory.
