Qualifications: Completion of 90 semester units or 135 quarter units with proof of current enrollment at a 4 year CA college/university, and Completion of Basic Skills requirement.
OR Bachelor's Degree or Higher, and Completion of Basic Skills Requirement.
OR Possess a current valid Teaching Credential issued by CTC

Required Application Procedure:

Substitute teachers must contact KCSOS Credentialing Department at (661) 636-4750 to begin the process of being placed on the county-wide substitute list. This is a prerequisite to applying with P-BVUSD as a substitute teacher. Once on the County list, prospective substitutes may apply online. All documents supporting the application requirements noted above must accompany your application in order to receive consideration. It shall be the applicant's responsibility to supply copies of all documentation, letters of recommendation etc. or other related materials.
Salary Schedule / Pay Rate:
Short-Term Daily Rate: $180.00 per day
Long Term Rate after 11 consecutive days worked: $230.00 per day
**BONUS of $500.00 after working 11 consecutive days. Offered 4 times per year or quarterly**
Selection Procedure:

Personal Interviews will be conducted only after review of application, permits and required documentation. If selected, you will be required to complete an onboarding document packet and complete a P-BVUSD training.
