J.W. Vaughan Company has been serving industrial customers across the Southeast since 1925. We stock belts, bearings, motors, and power transmission components and we take pride in being the place customers call when something breaks down and they need it today.
We are a small, relationship-driven team. We are not a warehouse, a call center, or an order-taking operation. Every person on our team matters, every customer knows our name, and what we do keeps businesses running.
What You'll Do
- Answer incoming calls and help customers identify the parts they need
- Place purchase orders with vendors and track them through to delivery
- Receive inventory and verify it against packing slips and purchase orders
- Process quotes, sales orders, and invoices in our order management system
- Notify customers when orders are ready and get them out the door fast
- Maintain an organized warehouse so parts are easy to find and inventory stays accurate
- Build lasting relationships with customers and vendors
- Keep the workspace clean and orderly
What We're Looking For
- Strong communicator, confident and professional on the phone and in person
- Detail-oriented, accuracy matters when a customer has a machine down
- Reliable and self-motivated, we are a small team and everyone carries their weight
- Positive and customer-first attitude
- Comfortable with basic computer use for order entry and email
- No prior industry experience required, we will train the right person completely
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be based in the Greenville, SC area
- Available Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, in person
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $35,000–$45,000
- Performance-based raises, your pay grows as you grow
- Christmas bonus highly likely for employees who consistently take good care of customers
- 3 days PTO in year one, 2 weeks beginning in year two
- Paid holidays: Christmas, Thanksgiving, Independence Day, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Good Friday
Pay: $35,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
