We are hiring the following Part Time positions in Kid Zone:
- Kid Zone Aide (minimum 16 years of age)
- Kid Zone Counselor (minimum 18 years of age)
POSITION SUMMARY
The Kid Zone Aide and Kid Zone Counselor provide direct services to program participants including the delivery of supervision, program curriculum and interaction with parents. The ultimate goal is to provide quality experience to children, parents and the community with a focus on the YMCA core values of Honesty, Respect, Responsibility and Caring.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Ensures child safety.
- Implements curriculum within the established guidelines.
- Supervises children and all activities. Engaging with children at all times.
- Maintain open lines of communication with parents in regard to their child's behavior, health and development.
- Completes and maintains program records, including attendance records, incident reports and discipline forms.
- Assists in maintaining program site and equipment.
- Attends and participates in all staff meetings and staff training.
- Honor the confidentiality of information.
- Familiarize self with policies in the employee handbook and onsite procedural manuals.
- Completes all other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of 16 years of age.
- CPR, Pediatric First AID with Airway breathing, AED certifications or ability to obtain within 30 days.
- Two years' experience working with children preferred.
- Flexible schedule, may include evening and weekends or special events staffing.
- Have enthusiasm and creativity in children's programming.
- Have ability to observe and assess behavior and apply appropriate and effective behavior management techniques.

Pay: $11.24 - $16.37 per hour
