About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Physical Therapist to join our Outpatient clinic, specializing in orthopedic conditions, with an emphasis on post-operative care. This role offers a highly collaborative environment, with orthopedic surgeons onsite and frequent co-treatment opportunities to optimize patient outcomes. Your expertise in physical therapy and knowledge of anatomy and physiology specific to orthopedic conditions will be essential in helping patients achieve their rehabilitation goals.
What We Offer
- PART TIME: 2-3 days per week $43-45/hr
- (FULL TIME AVAILABLE): $90-95K/year, M-F 8a-5p, Full Benefits
- **MAXIMUM 8 PATIENTS PER DAY** 1 on 1 patient care, no double booking, 60 min sessions
- Collaborative environment with direct access to orthopedic surgeons
- No evenings, weekends or holidays
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat patients, primarily orthopedic, including developing and progressing individualized treatment plans based on patient presentation and surgical protocols (when applicable)
- Evaluate and educate pre- and post-op orthopedic surgical patients on recovery expectations, precautions, and home exercise programs
- Monitor and adjust treatment plans for patients with high pain levels and variable post-operative responses
- Utilize manual therapy techniques to improve mobility, reduce pain, and restore function
- Communicate closely with onsite surgeons and interdisciplinary team members to ensure continuity of care
- Work collaboratively with Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs), including appropriate delegation, supervision, and progression of care
- Ensure accurate and compliant documentation to support billing and reimbursement
Qualifications
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program
- Active Ohio Physical Therapy license
- Strong background in orthopedic and functional anatomy
- Confidence and experience treating acute and chronic orthopedic conditions, pre/post-operative rehabilitation (i.e. shoulders, hips, knees, spine), return-to-sport rehabilitation, and worker’s compensation patients
- Proficiency in manual therapy techniques
- Excellent communication and clinical reasoning skills
- Working knowledge of physical therapy billing practices, including appropriate coding, documentation requirements, and payer guidelines
- Experience with EMR systems and billing workflows in outpatient PT settings
- Prior outpatient orthopedic experience (preferred)
