About the Role
Rockwoods is hiring a Branch Operations Director to lead a high-visibility transformation initiative for a growing financial services client. This role is about building the future state of branch operations. You will design and evolve the operating model, challenge existing processes, and create scalable solutions that balance member experience, efficiency, and appropriate risk, while acting as executive sponsor and the primary voice into senior leadership on program status and results
What You'll Own
- Design and evolution of the branch operating model — redesigning workflows and structures, not just optimizing what exists
- Executive sponsorship of the transformation initiative — regular reporting to senior leadership (SVP, Sales & Service) on status, risk, and ROI
- Direction of the Process Improvement Manager and Specialist team, setting the design vision they execute against
- Governance, timelines, and success metrics tied to adoption, productivity, and member experience — not process documentation
- Change management — driving branch staff adoption of new workflows and tools
- Pragmatic risk judgment — understanding compliance and controls while making decisions that let the business move forward
- Cross-functional partnership with IT, Marketing, and HR to remove execution barriers
- Budget, staffing, and resource decisions for the team
What You Bring
- Bachelor's in Business, Finance, or related field (Master's a plus)
- 10+ years progressive leadership in branch operations or retail banking, with direct experience redesigning or transforming operating models
- A demonstrated track record of building future-state operating models with measurable results in efficiency, adoption and performance
- Strong systems thinking; comfortable operating in ambiguity and influencing across teams
- Executive presence; comfortable presenting to senior leadership and driving alignment across departments
