Job Summary
Join our healthcare team as a Dermatology Medical Assistant, where you will directly enhance patient care and clinic efficiency. You will support dermatologists and healthcare providers by performing clinical and administrative tasks that ensure smooth patient flow, accurate documentation, and exceptional care. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced outpatient setting.
You will assist dermatologists with patient intake, including collecting medical histories and documenting chief complaints. Prepare exam rooms with necessary supplies, sterilize equipment, and ensure a clean environment for each patient visit. Support procedures by assisting with biopsies or minor skin surgeries, and managing specimen collection. Utilize Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems to accurately document patient information, treatment notes. Educate patients on treatment plans, post-procedure care, and medication instructions.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent; additional medical assisting certification preferred. Will consider college graduate needing medical experience prior to applying to graduate school. Previous experience in dermatology clinics or outpatient medical settings is highly desirable.
Pay: From $17.00 per hour
