Join a Growing Precision Manufacturing Team
We are hiring experienced CNC Setup Machinists with hands-on setup and machining experience on Vertical, Horizontal, and Turning Centers. This role is ideal for candidates with experience in CNC setup, machining, G-code edits, tooling, inspection, and blueprint interpretation who thrive in a production manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Set up and prepare 2-axis and 3-axis CNC machining jobs
- Perform setup on Vertical, Horizontal, and Turning Centers
- Adjust feeds, speeds, offsets, and make basic G-code edits as needed
- Troubleshoot machining defects including dimensional and surface finish issues
- Build simple fixtures including soft jaws and custom workholding plates
- Evaluate tooling performance and recommend tooling improvements
- Perform precision inspection on machined components (excluding complex 3D surfaces)
- Train and support junior machinists and operators
- Maintain quality and production standards
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2+ years of CNC setup and machining experience
- Working knowledge of G-code programming and editing
- Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and manufacturing documentation
- Experience with at least one CNC control: Fanuc, Mazak, Haas
- Experience using precision measurement tools: Calipers, Micrometers, Height Gages, Pin Gages, Thread Gages
