Purpose: To ensure the highest level of service possible by facilitating the communication, collection, tracking, and celebration of capital fund raising for GreenStar. To create an environment that welcomes coworkers, customers, member-owners, and members of the community.

Status: This is a temporary part-time 24 hour per week position, August – November 2026
Reports To: General Manager
Compensation: $38.50 per hour with standard GreenStar part-time benefits
Responsibilities:
CAPITAL CAMPAIGN RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide leadership to assure that campaign plans and activity are met

Identify, cultivate, and train Capital Campaign volunteers
-
Plan and run Capital Campaign team meetings
-
Identify and implement systems for organizing and executing the Campaign
-
Identify investor prospects (member-owners, sponsors, donors, organizations, etc)
-
Manage donor communications and solicitations alone and with the Capital Campaign team in person, over the phone, and via email.

Manage Capital Campaign process and communication with the Board of Directors (aka Council) and management

Create and edit campaign communications, acknowledgements, and follow-up letters
-
Devise and manage logistics for events and publicity
-
Develop and manage Capital Campaign website and social media
-
Report to the Board of Directors (aka Council) and members
-
Prepare reports as needed for the General Manager and others
-
Manage campaign expenses within budget
-
Collaborate with the Marketing Department to manage and execute capital campaign events, publicity, website, and social media updates.

Train and support staff in capital campaign communication and understanding

CUSTOMER SERVICE

Assist customers with product questions in a prompt, and courteous manner, referring them to other staff when necessary.

Familiarity with co-op policies and products, take initiative to help internal and external customers with questions.

Exceed internal and external customer expectations for service and provide a hospitable environment in daily interactions.

Respond to staff and customer suggestions, comments and complaints or refer to appropriate management.

Participate in customer service trainings, all-staff meetings, department meetings, and huddles to stay informed.
SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES

Follow GreenStar’s safety rules.

Ensure that work spaces are clean, orderly.

Ensure maintenance of department equipment and notify manager if equipment breaks.

Assist other employees in safety needs.

Report unsafe equipment and conditions.

Perform other tasks as assigned to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
STOREWIDE & OTHER DUTIES

Attend Human Resources training, all-staff meetings, department meetings, and Huddles to stay informed.

Read GreenStar publications to stay informed.

Describe membership benefits, and how membership investment is made.
