Duties
- Operate commercial dishwashing equipment to efficiently clean dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen tools
- Follow food safety sanitizing procedures to ensure all items meet health standards
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including basic ingredient handling and setup
- Support bussing duties by clearing tables and transporting used dishes to the dish station
- Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area, including sinks, counters, and storage spaces
- Handle manual lifting of heavy pots, pans, and crates safely and with proper technique
- Follow kitchen health and safety standards to prevent accidents and ensure a safe work environment
Requirements
- Prior experience in food service or restaurant environment preferred but not required; training provided for motivated candidates
- Knowledge of sanitation practices and food safety management principles
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment such as dishwashers and sinks safely
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items regularly
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on cleanliness and hygiene standards
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards supporting kitchen operations
- Basic knife skills or culinary experience is a plus but not mandatory
