Job Description
The Associate Service Technician supports TDI’s inspection and packaging equipment operations through a combination of warehouse, inventory, equipment preparation, and testing responsibilities. This position plays an important role in ensuring equipment is properly received, organized, inspected, tested, and prepared for customer deployment.
TDI Packsys, a dynamic organization specializing in inspection systems (X-Ray Inspection Systems, Metal Detectors, and Checkweighers) as well as packaging automation equipment for food, beverage, and pharmaceutical manufacturers, is seeking a motivated Associate Service Technician to join our team. This position is ideal for mechanically inclined individuals who enjoy hands-on work and are interested in developing technical skills within the industrial equipment industry.

Key Qualifications
The Associate Service Technician should possess strong verbal and written communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and be a positive team member.
· Mechanical aptitude and interest in industrial equipment.
· Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, or pneumatic systems preferred.
· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
· Ability to follow written procedures and work instructions.
· Team-oriented attitude and willingness to learn.
· Warehouse, manufacturing, assembly, or logistics experience preferred.
· Forklift certification required (or ability to obtain).
· Familiarity with ERP/WMS systems; NetSuite a plus.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Duties/Responsibilities
As an Associate Service Technician, your responsibilities will include:
· Receive, inspect, and process inbound shipments.
· Prepare and ship outbound equipment, parts, and customer order.
· Perform inventory counts and maintain accurate records in NetSuite WMS.
· Load, unload, and move equipment and materials throughout the facility.
· Operate forklifts and material-handling equipment safely.
· Assist with equipment inspection, setup, testing, and preparation prior to shipment.
· Perform basic equipment verification and quality checks following established procedures.
· Support service technicians by preparing equipment, parts, and documentation for customer projects.
· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
· Communicate inventory discrepancies, shipping issues, and safety concerns promptly.
· Participate in company-sponsored technical and product training.
Education
· High school diploma or equivalent required.
· Technical certification or associate degree in Mechatronics, Electromechanical Technology, Industrial Technology, or a related technical field preferred.
· Previous warehouse, manufacturing, maintenance, or technical support experience is beneficial but not required.
