Join our dynamic team at Embers Protection Services as a Plumbing / Piping Technician and become a vital contributor to construction projects that demand precision, mechanical expertise, and hands-on skills. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing and fire protection piping systems for commercial and residential projects. Your expertise will help ensure that building systems operate efficiently, safely, and in accordance with blueprints and schematics. Responsibilities
- Install, assemble, and maintain fire sprinkler and piping systems
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Cut, thread, and fit pipe using hand and power tools
- Perform system testing, inspections, and troubleshooting
- Work in compliance with safety standards and job site requirements
- Coordinate with foremen and other trades on site
Qualifications
- 2+ years of pipefitting or fire protection experience preferred
- Knowledge of fire sprinkler systems and piping layouts
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics
- Experience with grooved, threaded, and welded pipe systems
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in various job site conditions
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in fire protection systems (NFPA standards knowledge a plus)
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification
- Basic hand tools
