What You'll Do (Duties)
- Safely operate short-haul dry van freight runs within a local 200–300 air-mile radius of Chester, NY.
- Perform standard pre- and post-trip equipment inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Maintain precise logbooks/E-Logs in accordance with FMCSA rules.
- Properly secure cargo before transport.
What We Are Looking For (Requirements)
- Experience: Minimum 12 months of verified tractor-trailer driving experience.
- Age: 24 years of age or older.
- Safety Record: Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no more than 1 incident in the last 39 months.
- Credentials: 2 valid professional references. Must be eligible/able to obtain a U.S. Passport, TWIC card, and Hazmat endorsement if necessary.
- Compliance: Ability to pass a physical compliant with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Standards (FMCSA); working knowledge of E-logs (will train).
- Physical & Skills: Good physical health (crouching/kneeling required for inspections) and strong communication skills.
- Schedule Flexibility: 1st shift / 2nd shift
