Mother's Helper Needed – Part-Time
We're looking for a kind, reliable, and energetic mother's helper to become part of our family's routine. We have a busy household and are looking for someone who enjoys working with kids, doesn't mind jumping in where needed, and is comfortable helping both with childcare and keeping things running smoothly around the house.
Schedule & Details:
- Location: Peregrine, Colorado Springs, CO 80919
- Hours: Flexible - Prefer mornings 2-3 days a week
- Pay: $25 hour
- Start Date: 7/15/26 or later
- Part-time: 8 hrs/week
What you'd be helping with:
- Preparing snacks and simple meals for the kids, plus helping with weekly meal planning and grocery orders
- Light housekeeping, including tidying up, laundry, and keeping the common areas organized
- Driving the kids to and from school, appointments, or activities (reliable transportation and a clean driving record are required)
- Playing with the kids, reading books, helping with age-appropriate learning activities, and encouraging creativity and fun
- Assisting with the care of one of our children who has disabilities by following an established care plan (we're happy to provide training on our family's routine)
- Helping us maintain a safe environment. CPR and First Aid certification are required.
This position could be a great fit for a college student studying education, nursing, occupational therapy, physical therapy, psychology, social work, pre-med, or another child-focused field who is looking for meaningful, hands-on experience.
Our family of six includes a child with medical needs, so this position offers valuable hands-on experience for students interested in nursing, medicine, occupational therapy, physical therapy, physician assistant studies, or other healthcare careers. We will provide training specific to our child's care.
We're looking for someone who:
- Has experience caring for children (babysitting, nannying, daycare, or similar)
- Is patient, dependable, and able to keep up with a busy household
- Is comfortable caring for multiple children
- Has experience with meal prep and light household tasks
- Has reliable transportation and a clean driving record
- Experience with urology or neurology is a big plus, but not required.
