Position Overview
The Events & Catering Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, and overseeing all catering and event activities involving Food & Beverage. This position works closely with residents, dining leadership, and kitchen staff to ensure every event is executed with excellence, professionalism, and care.
Essential Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, direct, and coordinate all catering and event activities involving Food & Beverage
- Consult with residents and staff to determine event needs and preferences
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to develop menus and ensure all event requirements are met
- Collaborate with the Dining Room Manager to ensure proper staffing for all events
- Oversee event setup, service, and breakdown to ensure a high-quality experience
- Maintain high standards of customer service and hospitality at all times
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED required; ServSafe certification preferred
- Minimum of five (5) years of supervisory experience in a restaurant, club, hotel, or similar hospitality setting preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to empathize and connect with residents, visitors, peers, supervisors, and team members
- Ability to work some nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to successfully pass a background check and drug screening
- Valid driver’s license required
