JOB DESCRIPTION-
Fries Ag & Turf is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Parts Counter Representative to join our team. The Parts Department plays a vital role in supporting our customers and service and sales team by providing exceptional customer service, maintaining inventory accuracy, selling and receiving parts and ensuring the sales floor is organized and stocked.
RESPONSIBILITIES-
- Promotes and sells products and/or services to meet customer needs.
- Supplies Service Technicians with parts as required.
- Assists with preparing and maintaining merchandise displays.
- Receiving parts, including placing them into inventory and properly labeling them.
- Helping customers find and purchase the correct parts
- Collaborating with service managers to ensure all parts are available for repair jobs.
- Receipting-in of shipments and assists with placing units down and Stock Orders in their proper inventory locations.
- Assist in keeping parts department and work area clean and orderly
- Follows up on shortages and expedites issues by reporting to the Parts Manager
- Assists in maintaining all departmental tools, equipment and vehicles are in good working order.
QUALIFICATIONS-
- Strong computer skills and the ability to learn new programs.
- Exceptional communication skills, oral and written.
- Ability to read and understand work orders with repairs and instructions on them.
- A strong team player who arrives with a good attitude to project on both customers and fellow employees.
- Parts and machinery knowledge
- Ability to use parts catalog.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to lift items weighing up to 75 lbs.
- High School diploma or equivalent experience required.
- Forklift license preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS-
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the job duties, the employee must:
- Regularly lift and/or move 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
- Prolonged periods of standing and/or sitting.
- Ability to walk, reach, stoop, kneel, and bend as needed.
- Regular use of the telephone and e-mail for communication is essential.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $35,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
