Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Behavior Therapist (RBT) to join our dynamic team committed to improving the lives of children and individuals with developmental disabilities. In this role, you will deliver evidence-based behavioral interventions, primarily using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), to support clients in achieving their personal goals. You will work closely with families, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams to implement tailored care plans in various settings, including home-based environments and educational settings. Responsibilities
- Implement individualized ABA therapy protocols designed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) to promote skill development and reduce challenging behaviors.
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as grooming, dressing, feeding, and toileting, fostering independence and confidence.
- Collect and analyze behavioral data accurately during sessions to monitor progress and inform treatment adjustments.
- Support clients with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) and other neurodevelopmental disorders through engaging teaching strategies tailored to their needs.
- Maintain detailed medical documentation, care plans, and behavioral records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and professional standards.
- Communicate effectively with clients’ families and caregivers to provide updates, guidance, and support on behavior management strategies.
- Adhere strictly to the Professional and Ethical Compliance Code for Behavior Analysts while delivering high-quality patient care across diverse environments.
Experience
- Prior experience working with children or individuals with disabilities, especially in home-based or school settings.
- Hands-on experience implementing ABA therapy protocols for children on the autism spectrum or with neurodevelopmental disorders.
- Familiarity with data collection methods related to behavioral health and behavior management techniques.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, medical records management, and documentation standards aligned with HIPAA compliance.
- Experience working within special education programs or supporting individuals with disabilities in educational environments is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams including educators, therapists, and healthcare providers.
- A background in behavioral health or applied behavioral analysis that reflects a commitment to ethical practice and client-centered care.
