Role and Responsibilities
The Sales Representative – Sewer Equipment is responsible for selling sewer parts and equipment and supporting sewer sales. The Sales Representative will have a variety of duties and responsibilities to promote the sale of sewer equipment. A strong understanding of sewer equipment and products is necessary. Building and maintaining professional and positive relationships is imperative to the success of the Sales Representative
Sales Responsibilities

Establish, develop, and maintain positive business and customer relationships

Promote and sell sewer equipment and products to existing and prospective customers

Complete the full-cycle sales process from prospecting customers, developing relationships, making sales, delivering products/equipment, and providing follow up care.

Reach out to current and potential customers through cold calling via phone, email, and in-person

Document and maintain customer details in CRM system by entering and updating customer contact information and documenting customer interactions.

Develop a strong understanding of products and equipment functions and features

Travel to customer locations to facilitate product trainings and demonstrations
-
Resolve customer complaints or problems promptly to maximize customer satisfaction.

Coordinate sales with other departments as needed and ensure the delivery of purchased equipment

Accurately maintain inventory in QuickBooks
-
Promptly and accurately enter estimates, purchase orders, sales orders, and update work orders
-
Analyze the territory and market potential, track sales and provide regular status reports

Provide excellent customer service by answering communicating with customers in a respectful and timely fashion

Accurately and promptly complete paperwork related to sales, drives, and warranty items.

Submit, track, and follow up on warranty claims

Attend relevant trade shows

Achieve agreed upon sales outcomes

Strive for continuous improvement by staying up to date on products, customer trends, best practices, and ongoing feedback.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Customer service skills with the ability to actively listen and address customer needs

Exceptional interpersonal skills that allow for building customer relationships with a wide variety of individuals.

Excellent selling, negotiation, and communication skills

Ability to prioritize, organize and manage time efficiently and effectively

Proficient with QuickBooks (or similar software) and Microsoft Office Programs (Outlook, Excel, Word)

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Ability to conserve confidentiality of information and data (internal and external)

Valid driver license

Class B CDL or the ability to obtain
Physical Requirements

The sales representative must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time at a desk or in a vehicle.

Travel to customer locations and trade shows 50% or more of the time.

Must be able to lift 30 pounds at a time.
-
Ability to stand for extended periods of time.

Ability to bend and crouch on occasion.
