Join our locally owned shop as a part time Automotive Mechanic, with the potential for full time, where your expertise will drive excellence in vehicle repair and maintenance. Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems and schematics to identify issues accurately.
- Conduct repairs on various mechanical systems including engines, transmissions, suspensions, brakes, shocks & struts.
- Execute routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire services, wheel alignments, and vehicle inspections to uphold safety standards.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and automotive service tools to complete repairs efficiently.
- Interpret technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot complex mechanical problems effectively.
- Provide exceptional customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring vehicle quality meets or exceeds expectations.
Experience
- Proven experience working in the automotive repair industry with a focus on dealership or independent shop environments.
- Demonstrated expertise in automotive diagnostics and mechanical systems repair across a variety of vehicle makes and models.
- Strong background in dealing with ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), air brake systems, and automotive electrical systems.
- Familiarity with GM vehicles or similar brands is advantageous but not required.
- Knowledge of auto estimating processes and experience working with transmission repairs or powertrain components is preferred.
- Hands-on experience suspension repair (including shocks & struts), brake repair, and oil change procedures.
- Ability to read schematics accurately and work safely with heavy equipment mechanics tools and welding equipment is essential.
