Position Overview:
B POSITION 33 hour position
Saturday: 1 PM - 9 PM (8 Hours)
Sunday : 9 AM - 7 PM (10 hours)
Monday: 2 PM - 9 PM (7 hours)
Tuesday: 7 AM - 3 PM (8 hours)
STARTING PAY $27.00
As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you will play a vital role in improving the quality of life for a 30-year-old individual with Down syndrome. This individual is enrolled in the Self-Determination Program through Dromen. You will assist with daily living tasks, provide community support, and participate in behavior support programs under the guidance of a BCBA. This is a 2:1 staffing model, two staff are assigned to each shift. However, you must report to your shift even if the second staff person is absent. Currently one positions available, part-time. See below listed hours.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as:
- Bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding
- Diaper changing, showering, and toileting
- Administering medications and logging each dose accurately
- Assist with hygiene, including wiping
- Develop and follow a monthly day program calendar with outings to the gym, therapy sessions, Disneyland, and more
- Accompany the client on community outings (shopping, recreation)
- Collect and document daily data on behaviors and activities
- Provide behavior interventions based on the Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP)
- Use your personal vehicle for transportation (mileage reimbursement provided)
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Must pass DOJ background check and fingerprint clearance
- No criminal record
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Current CPR certification, TDAP, and TB test (negative result)
- Comfortable providing full personal care including hygiene, toileting, and diapering
- Updated resume required for application
Preferred Qualifications:
- DSP 1 or DSP 2 certified (preferred, not required)
- CPI-trained (preferred)
- RBT certification (preferred but will be requiered within 90 day probationary period )
- Experience in ABA or working with individuals with developmental disabilities
- Familiarity with AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication)
- Strong attention to detail and data collection
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Pay Range:
- $25–$27 per hour, depending on experience and certification. A POSTION
- $27-$30 per hour, depending on experience and certification. B POSTION

- 6-hour evening shift, 30 hours (2:00 PM – 8:00 PM)
- Tuesday through Saturday (Weekend required)

- Saturday - Tuesday (Weekend required)
