Become a Key Player as a Quality Inspector 2
You will ensure components, parts, and products meet quality and reliability standards, directly impacting production integrity and compliance. You will work closely with production technicians, engineering, and quality teams to identify and resolve defects and process inefficiencies. This is an onsite role on the 1st shift (Monday–Friday, 5:00am–1:30pm).
Here's How You'll Make an Impact on the Team
Inspect products, materials, and components at various production stages to confirm compliance with specifications and quality standards
Perform routine visual and mechanical inspections of electronic and electro-mechanical assemblies and subassemblies
Use gauges, calipers, micrometers, torque ranges, and other tools to inspect wires, sensors, and parts
Prepare and complete documentation for acceptance/rejection of inspected and tested items (C of C, C of A, material test reports, mill certifications, special process certifications)
Participate in statistical process analysis to confirm compliance or identify deviations
Conduct internal audits and follow up on corrective actions
Identify design, process, or other inefficiencies and report quality concerns
Implement and maintain technical quality assurance procedures
Maintain regular, consistent, and punctual attendance; work nights/weekends or additional hours as necessary
Here's What You'll Need to Be Successful in This Role
Prior experience with the QA Inspector title
2–5 years of relevant quality inspection experience
Ability to perform non-nuclear inspection to verify compliance to drawing dimensional, visual, and paperwork requirements
Skilled at measuring and using inspection/test equipment and a wide range of inspection tools (gauges, calipers, height gauges, pin and block gauges, V-blocks, surface inspection tables, micrometers, comparators)
Experience interpreting engineering drawings and GD&T
Familiarity with ISO 9001 and aerospace standards such as AS9100
Mechanical and technical skills with strong attention to detail
Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office and effective oral/written communication
