Join a patient-focused concierge medical practice as a full-time Medical Assistant / Front Desk Coordinator. You will help create a warm, highly organized patient experience while supporting both clinical and front-office operations. This role is ideal for someone who is professional, dependable, comfortable multitasking, and committed to attentive, personalized service.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome patients, complete registration and intake, update medical histories, and explain practice policies in a professional and friendly manner.
- Answer and manage multi-line phones, respond to patient questions, schedule appointments, transfer calls, and complete follow-up calls as needed.
- Use the practice EMR system for scheduling, patient records, documentation, and day-to-day workflow; training will be provided.
- Verify insurance coverage and eligibility for all accepted insurance plans, including Medicare, and accurately update insurance information in the patient record.
- Collect patient payments and accurately post payments to patient accounts.
- Maintain complete and accurate electronic and physical medical records while protecting patient privacy and complying with HIPAA requirements.
- Coordinate appointment schedules and support communication between patients and healthcare providers to help maintain smooth patient flow.
- Review documentation for completeness and accuracy and assist with other front-office and Medical Assistant duties as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a medical or concierge experience is highly preferred.
- Medical Assistant certification is preferred.
- Experience with EMR systems is a plus.
- Strong computer skills, including the ability to work efficiently across multiple windows, email, and documents.
- Excellent customer service, communication, and professional phone etiquette.
- Ability to multitask, stay organized, protect confidential information, and follow through on patient needs.
- Comfort working in a combined Medical Assistant and front-desk role.
