American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an ICU position at a Level III Trauma Center and teaching hospital, requiring a minimum of 2 years of ICU experience and the ability to pass an EKG exam.

Short-term acute care hospital setting with 733 staffed beds, designated as a Level III Trauma Center and teaching hospital

ICU unit with a patient ratio of 1:2–3
-
Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:00)

Every other weekend required

Floating within scope or between like units required to meet facility needs
-
No on-call requirements

Charting system: Epic (experience required)

Active NC or Compact RN license currently in hand — pending licenses are not accepted

Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS

Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required

Must pass an EKG exam — no exceptions

Epic EMR experience required

SSN and date of birth required for consideration

First-time travelers are generally not preferred, though exceptions may be considered at the manager's discretion based on years of experience

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the main campus to be eligible for this position

Royal blue and white scrubs required

Pre-start orientation modules must be completed prior to the first day (approximately 4–10 hours)

RTO is subject to manager's discretion, with a general max of 4 days; all time off requests must be submitted upfront
-
Only 1 holiday approval can be accommodated during the contract

Travelers who have previously worked at this facility must have been gone for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
-
This is a night shift position and may be extended once; after the contract limit is reached, candidates must be away for at least 6 months before returning
