Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our team. As a Welder, you will be responsible for fabricating and assembling metal structures and equipment using various welding techniques. The ideal candidate will have experience in welding, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to read blueprints.
Duties:
- Perform welding tasks using various techniques such as FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding) and plasma cutting
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of metal components
- Measure and mark dimensions and reference points on metal pieces using calipers, rulers, and measuring tapes
- Operate welding equipment including MIG welders, TIG welders, and plasma cutters
- Inspect welded joints for quality and ensure they meet the required specifications
- Assemble fabricated metal parts to create structures such as ductwork and sheet metal products
- Conduct repairs on metal structures as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Skills:
- Strong welding skills with experience in various welding techniques
- Mechanical knowledge to understand how different components fit together
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications accurately
- Proficiency in using tools such as calipers, rulers, and measuring tapes for precise measurements
- Familiarity with operating welding equipment including MIG welders, TIG welders, and plasma cutters
- Attention to detail to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly of metal structures
