2nd Shift | Temp-to-Hire
Canadian Executive Search Group (CES/AWS) is currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician / Millwright for a Temp-to-Hire opportunity with a leading manufacturing facility in Wilmington, NC. This position is primarily on 2nd shift, but candidates must be flexible to work overtime, weekends, or other shifts as needed to support production and emergency maintenance.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on CNC machines and production equipment
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Install, align, disassemble, and relocate industrial machinery (Millwright duties)
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
- Troubleshoot equipment failures, identify root causes, and implement long-term solutions
- Assist with equipment upgrades, modifications, and continuous improvement projects
- Complete maintenance documentation and work orders accurately
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures
- Previous experience as a Maintenance Technician, Millwright, or Industrial Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing environment
- Strong mechanical aptitude with working knowledge of electrical systems
- Experience troubleshooting CNC machines and industrial equipment
- Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, gearboxes, bearings, and power transmission systems
- Experience with machinery installation, alignment, and rigging
- Ability to read blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical manuals
- Industrial Maintenance, Millwright, Electrical, or related certifications are preferred
- Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and climb throughout the shift
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Comfortable working in an industrial manufacturing environment
- Ability to safely use hand tools and power tools
- Comfortable working at heights when required
- Primary Schedule: 2nd Shift
- Must be flexible to work overtime, weekends, or alternate shifts as business needs require
- Must be available to respond to emergency equipment breakdowns when necessary
