American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN - Clinical Program Coordinator with specialized Level 1 trauma performance improvement and ACS verification experience for a 13-week assignment in West Virginia.

Day shift schedule, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM (5x8-hour shifts)

Works within a specialized trauma department focused on performance improvement and ACS Level 1 verification

Responsible for coordination of multidisciplinary trauma performance improvement activities including data collection, analysis, trending, and benchmarking

Maintains the trauma registry database and submits data to the National Trauma Data Bank and WV State Central Trauma Registry
-
Also serves as the Pediatric Emergency Care Coordinator (PECC), overseeing pediatric emergency care standards and protocols in the Emergency Department
-
Coordinates monthly Trauma Systems & Operations Committee and Peer Review Meetings

Business casual dress code required

Active WV or Compact RN license required

BSN required; an Associate's Degree with 10 years of relevant experience may be substituted

Minimum 5 years of trauma-related experience required

Trauma registry experience is required — this is essential to the ACS Level 1 verification process and is a baseline eligibility requirement

Experience with ACS standards, 2-digit vs. 4-digit audit filters (state and ACS), and peer performance improvement among trauma surgeons required
-
Experience performing PI coordination specifically for ACS Level 1 trauma center verification (not CMS or floor-level PI) required

PALS, ACLS, and TNCC are preferred

Copy of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration

Two professional references required for consideration

Serves as a liaison to clinical areas responsible for trauma patient care

Participates in hospital education programs for nurses and resident physicians caring for trauma patients

Leads development and updating of policies and procedures for pediatric emergency patient care
-
Collaborates with nursing education to ensure competency across all pediatric care areas

This is a highly specialized role — management experience alone does not meet the qualifications; direct trauma PI and registry experience is essential
