Position Summary: Engineering Lab Technician
Location: Hamden, CT
Amphenol Spectra-Strip is a leader in hyper scale data center bulk wire solutions. We develop and manufacture gigabit copper cable solutions for high performance and cloud compute applications. We are currently seeking an Engineering Lab Technician to join our team.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
As an Engineering Lab Technician, you are responsible for supporting continuous operation of research and development test processes

Plans, executes, and reports results of cable test and measurement methods

Collaborate with cross functional engineering teams to collect and interpret data which enhances organizational learning

Acts as liaison to the manufacturing department during the implementation and validation of new materials, processes, and products
-
Collaborate with engineering teams to develop and implement improvements in wire development.

Assist in the design and modification of new wire products.
-
Maintain accurate documentation of repairs, maintenance schedules, and compliance records.

Ensure safety protocols are followed during testing and laboratory activity.
QUALIFICATIONS:
-
Associates degree or equivalent experience in manufacturing and/or testing electronics equipment
-
2+ years of relevant experience with testing electronics equipment preferred

Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively

Ability and desire to be “hands on”

Competency in the use of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
-
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
