Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive diagnostic tools to identify issues across various vehicle systems including engines, electrical systems, and transmissions.
- Repair and maintain powertrain components, engines (including diesel engines), and vehicle electrical systems with precision and efficiency.
- Interpret automotive wiring diagrams and schematics to troubleshoot complex electrical problems accurately.
- Conduct wheel alignments, ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) calibrations, and vehicle system inspections to ensure safety standards are met.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and mechanical repair techniques for repairs ranging from minor adjustments to major overhauls.
- Follow manufacturer specifications and schematics for engine repair, heavy lifting procedures, and vehicle maintenance tasks.
- Provide exceptional customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring vehicles are returned in optimal condition with quality workmanship.
Experience
- Proven ASE certification with a strong background in automotive repair and diagnostics.
- Dealership experience is highly preferred, especially with GM vehicles or similar brands.
- Hands-on experience working with automotive engine systems, including diesel engines and powertrain components.
- Familiarity with automotive electrical systems, wiring diagrams, ADAS calibration, and schematic interpretation.
- Skilled in using automotive diagnostic tools and understanding vehicle systems for efficient troubleshooting.
- Mechanical knowledge complemented by experience with heavy lifting, alignment procedures, auto body repair basics, welding, and maintenance tasks.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service; ability to explain technical issues clearly to clients.
