We're looking for a dependable, mechanically inclined Field Service & Installation Technician who enjoys solving problems, working independently, and providing exceptional customer service.
What You'll Do
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair parking gates, access control systems, ticket dispensers, card readers, cameras, intercoms, and related equipment.
- Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and software issues.
- Perform preventative maintenance inspections.
- Read wiring diagrams and installation schematics.
- Complete service calls and document work performed.
- Maintain your company vehicle, tools, and parts inventory.
- Build strong customer relationships.
- Assist with snow removal, special events, and other company operations as needed.
Qualifications
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Electrical experience is a plus.
- Good communication, customer service, and basic computer skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work outdoors in all seasons.
No Parking Equipment Experience?
No problem. We provide paid, on-the-job training for candidates with strong mechanical aptitude.
Experience in electrical work, HVAC, automatic doors or gates, or access control is a plus—but we're willing to train the right person.
Schedule & Travel
- Primarily Monday–Friday daytime hours with a flexible schedule.
- Rotating on-call schedule for weekend and after-hours emergency service.
- Occasional overtime.
- Most work is in Central Iowa, with occasional travel throughout Iowa, Nebraska, and surrounding states.
- Overnight travel is rare.
