Overview
We are a leading concrete pump manufacturer seeking a skilled Equipment Mechanic to join our team. This vital role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of diesel powered concrete pump machinery. as well as testing of new machines off the line. The ideal candidate will possess extensive mechanical expertise, including familiarity with OEM specifications, schematics, and heavy equipment diagnostics.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on concrete pump machinery.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, diesel engine issues using schematics, OEM manuals, and diagnostic tools.
- Fabricate parts or modify equipment as needed using hand tools, welding, soldering, and fabrication techniques.
- Assemble and test new machines as needed
- Conduct heavy lifting operations safely when handling large components or assemblies.
- Maintain detailed service records documenting repairs, parts used, and inspection findings.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and industry regulations during all maintenance activities.
- Assist in the assembly and disassembly of equipment for repairs or upgrades.
- Support customer service efforts by providing technical guidance and ensuring equipment reliability.
Qualifications
- Proven mechanic experience with heavy industrial equipment such as concrete pumps, excavators, cranes, forklifts, or similar machinery.
- Strong knowledge of hydraulics, electrical systems, and diesel engine repair.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering tools, and diagnostic instruments.
- Ability to read technical manuals and schematics accurately for troubleshooting purposes.
- Experience in fabrication or assembly of mechanical components is advantageous.
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a proactive approach to maintenance challenges.
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely and efficiently.
