Responsibilities
- Safely operate a box truck or Sprinter Van for daily delivery routes, adhering strictly to traffic laws and DOT regulations.
- Load and unload packages using manual handling techniques.
- Deliver parcels to residential and commercial customers promptly, providing excellent customer service with a positive attitude.
- Use mobile devices to track deliveries, update statuses, and communicate with dispatch teams effectively.
- Follow route plans meticulously to optimize delivery efficiency while maintaining safety standards.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to ensure proper functioning and compliance with safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, handle heavy lifting with proper techniques, and report any delivery issues or incidents immediately.
Experience
- Proven delivery driver experience with knowledge of route driving and manual transmission operation is preferrable.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
- Ability to operate mobile devices for route navigation and delivery updates efficiently.
- Valid driver’s license suitable for operating a box truck or personal vehicle used for deliveries; CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) is not required.
