Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation
- Support the cooking process by following recipes accurately and adhering to food safety management protocols
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, mixers, and food prep tools
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen surfaces in compliance with safety standards in production and food handling guidelines
- Support Organization of outflowing food to maintain on time delivery to surrounding stores
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate tasks, ensure smooth workflow, and uphold high standards of food safety
Requirements
- Previous experience in dietary departments or dietary aide roles is highly desirable
- Familiarity with menu planning, food preparation, and cooking techniques in a restaurant or food industry setting
- Knowledge of safety standards in production, food handling procedures, and sanitation practices
- Ability to operate various kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Strong communication skills for effective teamwork within the kitchen environment
- Experience with recipe adherence, meal preparation, and serving processes
- Culinary experience including knife skills and food safety
- MUST PASS SERVSAFE Certification test
- Catering or food service experience is a plus but not required; willingness to learn is essential
