Are you an empathetic listener, a disciplined sales professional, and a natural community connector? Our senior living business in Cameron Park is seeking a Community Outreach & Sales to lead our growth, build deep roots in El Dorado County, and guide families through one of life’s most significant transitions.
In this role, you will be the face of our community. You will balance a warm, consultative sales approach with a hyper-organized backend pipeline to drive future resident move-ins and maintain high occupancy. This is not a transactional sales job; it is a relationship-driven career requiring sophisticated emotional intelligence, exceptional B2B networking skills, and a genuine passion for serving seniors.
Key Responsibilities
1. Consultative Sales & Relationship Management (50%)
- Lead Nurturing: Guide prospective residents and their adult children from initial inquiry through physical tours, discovery meetings, and successful move-ins.
- Empathetic Discovery: Conduct deep, compassionate discovery conversations to understand the unique emotional, physical, and financial needs of each family.
- Pipeline Discipline: Maintain rigorous documentation of all sales activities, follow-ups, and lead stages within our CRM. Manage the sales funnel systematically over short and long-term decision cycles (which frequently average 3 to 12 months).
- Post-Tour Follow-Up: Develop creative, personalized follow-up strategies for families to address specific hesitations or barriers to moving.
2. Professional B2B Outreach & Referral Network Architecture (30%)
- Network Building: Establish and maintain active, high-yield referral relationships with local healthcare professionals, hospital discharge planners, elder law attorneys, estate planners, and home health agencies throughout the Cameron Park, El Dorado Hills, and Placerville corridors.
- Field Outreach: Spend dedicated time each week outside the community conducting face-to-face outreach, attending local chamber events, and presenting to professional networks.
- Brand Ambassadorship: Position our community as the premier, trusted expert source for senior care guidance in the Sierra Foothills region.
3. Community Engagement & Event Execution (20%)
- Grassroots Events: Conceptualize, plan, and host high-quality on-site and off-site educational seminars (e.g., navigating care costs) and sophisticated social mixers to introduce prospective families and professional referrers to our community.
- Market Analysis: Keep a pulse on local senior living trends, competitor inventory, and pricing structures in western El Dorado County to strategically position our community.
Candidate Qualifications & Experience
- Proven Sales Track Record: 3+ years of success in consultative sales, relationship-based closing, or business development. Experience in senior living, hospice, home health, luxury hospitality, or medical/pharmaceutical sales is highly preferred.
- Deep Regional Context: Current residency in or established professional familiarity with the El Dorado County/greater Sacramento region is a major asset. You understand the unique local community dynamic.
- High EQ & Resilience: Exceptional communication and active listening skills. You must be comfortable managing complex family dynamics, resistance, and emotional distress with patience and poise.
- Tech Literacy: Proficiency with modern CRM software, pipeline analytics, and standard digital workplace tools.
- Flexibility: Willingness to occasionally work evenings or weekends to accommodate family tours or special community events.
