Program Assistant, Central Shenandoah Valley Office on Youth
Are you passionate about positive youth development and making a real impact in your community? The Central Shenandoah Valley Office on Youth (CSVOOY) is looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Full-Time Program Assistant to join our team!
At CSVOOY, we foster collaboration between youth, families, human service providers, and community organizations. We specialize in vital areas such as personal responsibility education, parenting support, truancy prevention, Healthy Community Action Teams, and crime control.
As a Program Assistant, you'll provide crucial support to our schools and community through a multitude of evidence-based programs, working closely with our Personnel Responsibility, Family Service, and other Program Coordinators.
We're looking for someone who:

Possesses strong communication and public speaking skills.

Can relate well with youth and families.

Demonstrates strong organizational, problem-solving, and quick-thinking abilities.

Is comfortable teaching sensitive curriculum.

Is a self-starter with knowledge of educational techniques and community systems.

Is aware of current public health issues impacting youth and young adults and the consequences of risky behaviors.

Is familiar with evidence-based curriculums.
This is a Full-time position with benefits and a flexible schedule based on program needs.
Training and cross-training opportunities will be provided to help you grow in this role.
Starting pay is $18.50 to $18.75/hr, depending on experience.
Qualifications:

Any combination of education and experience equivalent to an Associate's Degree with coursework in human services or related fields.

1 – 2 years of experience in programs working with youth.

A valid Virginia Driver’s License, criminal background check, and drug screen are required.
