Orthopedic Trauma Surgery PA/NP Locums Job in Florida | Seeking Candidates with Flexible Schedules for Weekday Coverage Starting September + Ongoing
Jackson and Coker’s valued client on the east coast of Florida needs 1-2 Orthopedic Surgery NPs and/or PA-Cs to assist with weekday coverage needs starting with the below dates. Looking for Orthopedic Surgery experience & who would ideally also have Orthopedic-Trauma Surgery experience.
Coverage Deed + Specific Open Dates:
- Coverage need will vary between working in the clinic setting and the hospital (will change by the week, not day)
- Some stretches will be 100% outpatient coverage, other stretches will be inpatient floor/rounding + at times 1st assist/OR stretches only as well
- September 2–4 (training would occur on September 2)
- September 7–11
- September 21–25
- October 5–9
- October 12–16
- October 26–30
+ 1-2 weeks per month ongoing
Credentialing requirements:
- Active Florida license + DEA
- Two leadership peer references + 1 peer from the last 24 months
- Surgical case logs from the last 12 months
- Clean background/no criminal history
Privileging Requirements and Details for Assignment #115879:
- Board Certification or true Eligibility required
- Seeking candidates with Orthopedic Surgery experience, ideally with Orthopedic Trauma Surgery experience to include 1st assist
- Seeking candidates that are willing/prepared to work independently while rounding/in the clinic as needed
- Must provide documentation of a minimum of 500 hours of clinical services within Orthopedic Surgery service line over the last 12 months
- Will likely be required to provide specific orthopedic surgery case logs for inpatient privileges from the last 12 months
- Current Ortho Trauma Staff: 2 MDs + 6 employed APPS (recruiting for additional perm candidates) + Full Trauma Team
- Clinic Volume/Schedule: M-F from 8:30-4P (12P on Friday), Average of 30 PPD - to include ortho, trauma wound care & small # of work comp (no spine)
- Inpatient shifts vary (floor coverage, OR coverage) but are generally 8-10 hour days, some shifts include 24-hr call coverage
- Facility detail: 150+ bed facility, Epic EMR, level 2 trauma designation
