Responsibilities
- The Lead Montessori Preschool Teacher is a full-time, on-site role based in Daly City, CA, responsible for guiding a preschool classroom using Montessori principles and practices. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning and implementing developmentally appropriate lessons, preparing and maintaining Montessori materials, and creating a structured yet flexible classroom environment that supports individual and group learning. The Lead Teacher observes and documents children's progress, communicates regularly with families, and collaborates with other staff to ensure consistency in curriculum and classroom management.
Additional duties include supporting transitions to kindergarten, participating in staff meetings and professional development, and upholding all licensing, safety, and health regulations.
Qualifications
- Experience in Lesson Planning and Curriculum
- Development that aligns with Montessori philosophy and preschool learning goals.
- Strong foundation in Early Childhood Education, including child development and age-appropriate instructional practices.
- Effective Communication skills for interacting with children, families, and colleagues, including clear written and verbal communication.
- Knowledge of Kindergarten readiness standards and the ability to support children's transition from preschool to kindergarten.
Montessori certification or training preferred; relevant teaching credential or degree in Early Childhood Education or related field is beneficial. Previous experience as a lead or assistant preschool teacher in a classroom setting.
- Ability to create an inclusive, culturally responsive, and safe learning environment for all children.

Pay: $24.00 - $27.00 per hour
