Position Description:
Lead Medical Office Clerk/Front Desk Receptionist to assist the providers and clinical staff with non-clinical activities.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead Medical Office Clerk/Front Desk Receptionist typically has a wide range of responsibilities, which can include:
- Collect and create new patient files and update existing files.
- Perform clerical duties such as typing letters, filing documents, and creating spreadsheets using computer software programs
- Assist with inventory management
- Assist with counting, labeling, and packaging prescriptions
- Scan patient documents into Electronic Medical Record system
- Manage faxed documents ensuring patient confidentiality
- Performing administrative tasks such as answering phones, greeting patients, scheduling appointments, and filing paperwork
- Receiving and screening incoming calls, responding to voicemail messages, transferring calls as appropriate, and scheduling appointments.
Performs all other duties as assigned by Manager.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum of 2-5 years of work experience in a medical office
- Familiarity with medical terms
- Organization skills
- Communication skills
- Working knowledge of an electronic medical record system (preferred E-clinical Works and Epic), and Microsoft Office
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
