Your job will be to ensure all operations run smoothly across your sites. You will be the center of communications between Ivy Camps and the school partner, parents/guardians, on-site staff, and the Ivy Camps organization.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized, proactive, and people-oriented Domestic Operations Lead to oversee and support the execution of our afterschool programs and summer camps, focused on schools in North Carolina (in-person) with the opportunity to broaden your responsibilities to other states (remote). This unique, hybrid role is critical in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations across all sites while supporting our directors, instructors, and partners.
The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys problem-solving, and is excited to build strong relationships across multiple stakeholders. This person will work closely with the Head of Domestic Operations and the broader domestic operations team and will play a key role in maintaining operational excellence while fostering a fun, collaborative team culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and ensure smooth day-to-day local operations across North Carolina schools primarily in the Research Triangle area (this will include regular travel between these cities).
- With the right candidate, this role may also include remotely managing US-based afterschool programs and summer camp sites in other states outside of North Carolina.
- Manage and support on-site staff at three North Carolina school campuses, including training, ensuring adequate school supplies, and stepping in to resolve operational challenges.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with North Carolina school partners, including handling complex or sensitive conversations with professionalism and care (e.g., child safety issues, school-specific policies, and regular check-ins to ensure the school is happy with Ivy Camps’ programs).
- Support on-site staff with attendance tracking, staffing needs, any applicable licensing requirements, and operational logistics in coordination with the domestic operations team. This also includes growing and building capacity within the on-site staff.
- Collaborate closely with the domestic operations team, maintaining clear, open, and transparent communication across the team.
- Juggle a hybrid schedule, which will include remote meetings, phone calls, and check-ins in the morning, and in-person check-ins and on-site support in the afternoons when school aftercare programs are running.
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree is required.
- Relevant experience in afterschool care, education, or similar fields, with experience in North Carolina highly preferred.

- Experience managing teams and multiple stakeholders simultaneously.

- Comfortable handling partner communications as well as parent communication, including challenging conversations.
- High level of ownership, accountability, and attention to detail.
- Willingness to travel periodically, as needed.
- Flexible and positive attitude with the ability to foster a fun and engaging team environment.
