Employment Type: Full-Time or Part-Time
Hours: 7:30 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Job Summary
As Close as Family is dedicated to helping families find compassionate, reliable in-home care—so seniors and individuals can stay safe, supported, and comfortable in the place they love most: home. We are growing, and we’re seeking an exceptional Office Manager to lead our Rainsville branch and drive the branch’s performance, culture, and growth.
Supported by our homebase and a team of leaders across the organization, the Office Manager will operate as the leader of the local market—building relationships, growing referrals, developing a strong team, and ensuring an excellent client experience every day.
Responsibilities and Duties
As the Office Manager, you will independently lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the Rainsville office while benefiting from ongoing corporate training, coaching, and support.

- Build and maintain relationships with referral partners including (but not limited to) hospitals, hospices, senior living communities, discharge planners, social workers, and community organizations.
- Ensure referral relationships are nurtured and tracked to support long-term growth.
Staffing, Recruiting & Scheduling
- Recruit, hire, onboard, and retain high-quality caregivers.
- Ensure all client schedules are properly staffed and covered.
- Manage on-call responsibilities as client calls, caregiver updates, and referral partner needs arise.
- Monitor staffing needs and adjust schedules to maintain strong service continuity.
Client Intakes, In-Home Assessments & Satisfaction
- Conduct intakes and initial assessments with potential clients and family members.
- Build strong client relationships from the start and ensure care plans align with client needs.
- Proactively address concerns to ensure high satisfaction and repeat referrals.
Financial & Office Management
- Oversee office performance with accountability for profit and loss (P&L) outcomes.
- Manage office budgets and track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as revenue, retention, staffing coverage, and profitability.
Culture & Team Leadership
- Create a workplace culture where caregivers and team members want to work and thrive.
- Set expectations, maintain morale, and lead through motivation, accountability, and support.
- Incentivize performance and ensure the team understands goals and service standards.

- Proven leadership experience managing a team (direct leadership preferred).
- Demonstrated ability to meet growth/sales goals and drive results in a local market.
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with comfort owning outcomes.
- Experience with recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and oversight of staff.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills—especially when working with seniors, families, and referral partners.
- Ability to multitask, problem-solve, and remain calm while handling urgent needs.
- Reliable judgment, professionalism, and strong organization.
Desired Attributes
- Wants to step away from a typical structured 8–5 desk job and lead with autonomy.
- Interested in “betting on yourself” with the opportunity to be financially rewarded for performance.
- Enjoys solving problems in real time and thriving in a fast-moving environment.
- Motivated by building something meaningful in the community and leading a high-performing team.
- Wants autonomy—with support available when needed.
- Has grit, resilience, and genuine desire for growth and challenge.
- Consistently grows referrals and inquiries in the local market
- Maintains strong staffing coverage and caregiver retention
- Ensures timely, compassionate client onboarding and strong satisfaction
