Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of pizzas according to established recipes and quality standards
- Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, and slicing tools safely and efficiently
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety sanitizing procedures and food handling regulations
- Assist with menu planning by suggesting new pizza flavors and toppings based on customer preferences
- Ensure consistency in food production, presentation, and portion control during high-volume service periods
- Support food preparation tasks including braising, poaching, grilling, and other cooking techniques as needed
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely meal preparation and excellent customer service
Requirements
- Prior experience in food industry roles such as dietary aide, restaurant cook, or catering assistant is highly valued
- Demonstrated skills in food preparation techniques including braising, poaching, grilling, and knife skills
- Knowledge of food safety management practices and sanitizing procedures in a commercial kitchen setting
- Experience operating kitchen equipment like ovens, mixers, slicers, and other culinary tools
- Strong understanding of recipe adherence and meal preparation standards in high-volume environments
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent food handling skills with a focus on quality and safety standards
