Chef – California
$35/hr | Per diem | Onsite Only, approximately 20 hrs per week
Legacy Healing Center, a premier substance abuse treatment facility in California, is seeking a dedicated Chef to join our culinary team and support our Executive Chef. This per diem, onsite role plays a key part in delivering nutritious, high-quality meals to individuals in recovery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and assist with the execution of daily meals and snacks according to the established menu
- Support the Executive Chef with food prep, inventory, and kitchen operations
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary kitchen environment at all times
- Follow dietary restrictions and accommodate special dietary needs as necessary
- Receive and properly store food deliveries
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a commercial kitchen or food service setting
- ServSafe certification is required
- Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation procedures
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Experience in healthcare, treatment, or residential settings is a plus
