Job Title: Accounting Associate
Job Summary:
The Accounting Associate supports the finance and accounting department by performing a variety of clerical, bookkeeping, and financial tasks. The role involves maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, assisting with month-end activities, and ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions. Prepare and issue invoices to customers.
Record financial transactions in the accounting system. Reconcile bank statements and company accounts.
Assist with 1099 payroll processing and broker expense reimbursements. Maintain organized financial records and documentation.
Prepare journal entries and assist with month-end and year-end closing. Monitor outstanding balances and follow up on overdue payments. Assist in preparing financial reports and budgets.
Support audits by providing requested documentation.
Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations.
Perform general administrative duties related to the accounting department.
Qualifications
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 1–2 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience (preferred). Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting QuickBooks software
Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting. Strong numerical and analytical skills.
Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
