Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our healthcare team, providing compassionate and comprehensive patient care across various medical settings. The CNA will play a vital role in supporting nursing staff by assisting with daily patient activities, monitoring vital signs, and ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for patients of all ages.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates
- Support patients with medication administration under supervision and ensure adherence to prescribed treatments
- Maintain accurate medical documentation within Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems while respecting patient confidentiality and HIPAA regulations
- Assist with specialized care needs including Alzheimer's, dementia, memory care, and behavioral health support
- Follow aseptic techniques during procedures to prevent infection and promote safety
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams in hospital medicine, long-term care facilities, assisted living communities, or home care environments
- Support emergency response efforts by applying basic life support (BLS) skills when necessary
Experience
- Prior experience working as a Certified Nursing Assistant in diverse settings such as hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home health agencies
- Knowledge of medical terminology and physiology relevant to patient care across geriatrics, pediatrics, behavioral health, and acute care
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks for accurate documentation
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges is highly desirable
- Certification in CPR/BLS required; additional certifications like phlebotomy or medication administration are advantageous
- Strong caregiving communication skills to engage effectively with patients of all ages and backgrounds
