Job Description:
We are looking for an assistant teacher! In this position you will help nurture the growth and development of young learners. You will support classroom activities with children 6 weeks to 5 years old, in a safe & nurturing environment.
We are a small family oriented licensed child care learning through play. We are truly looking for someone long term who is passionate about working with children. This position could work for someone with children possibly as well.
Duties
- Assist lead teachers in executing age-appropriate activities that promote literacy, math, and social skills.
- Support classroom management by maintaining a structured, safe environment that encourages positive behavior and engagement.
- Work directly with children to facilitate learning experiences tailored to individual needs.
- Help monitor and document children's progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents as needed.
- Support classroom organization by maintaining cleanliness.
- Mentor and supervise children during playtime, meals, and rest periods to ensure safety and well-being.
Skills
- Strong understanding of early childhood development principles and childhood education best practices.
- Experience working with children is preferred.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
