Duties
- Supervise daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating to ensure consistency and excellence in every dish
- Lead and motivate kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and energetic team environment
- Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies, monitoring stock levels, and minimizing waste to optimize food costs
- Oversee food safety protocols and sanitation standards in compliance with health regulations
- Coordinate menu planning alongside executive chefs or management to create innovative dishes that meet guest expectations
- Oversee catering events and banquet services, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality meals in large-scale settings
- Manage shift schedules, assign tasks efficiently, and monitor staff performance to maintain smooth operations
- Maintain accurate records of food production, inventory levels, and safety inspections to support operational excellence
- Collaborate with front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service delivery and guest satisfaction
Qualifications
- Proven experience in fine dining kitchens with a strong background in food production and restaurant management
- Supervising experience with demonstrated leadership skills in a high-volume environment
- Extensive banquet experience and familiarity with catering operations
- Knowledge of dietary requirements and food handling safety standards
- Strong skills in inventory management, menu planning, and kitchen organization
- Expertise in culinary techniques across various cuisines with a focus on quality presentation
- Excellent communication skills and ability to lead a diverse team effectively
- Food industry certifications such as ServSafe or equivalent preferred
- Experience with hospitality management systems and food service management tools is advantageous
