As a Speech Language Pathologist at Gulfside Health & Rehab, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population in a short-term rehabilitation and long-term skilled nursing setting. Our 76-bed facility is designed to provide a warm and welcoming environment for patients and staff alike.
About the Role:
Provide speech-language pathology services to patients with communication and swallowing disorders
Conduct evaluations, assessments, and interventions to address patients' communication and swallowing needs
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed
Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to ensure comprehensive care
Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech-language evaluations and assessments, including cognitive-communication and swallowing evaluations
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address patients' communication and swallowing needs
- Provide speech-language therapy interventions, including individual and group sessions
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including occupational therapists, physical therapists, and nurses
- Document patient progress and treatment plans in accordance with established guidelines
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction
Requirements:
Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology or related field
State licensure in Speech Language Pathology
Knowledge of adult and geriatric communication disorders and swallowing disorders
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
