Job Overview
Bahama Bay Resort & Spa is seeking an energetic and personable Bartender to join our vibrant hospitality team! In this role, you will be the face of our resort, creating memorable experiences for guests through exceptional service, expertly crafted drinks, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your skills in a fast-paced, dynamic resort setting - across our restaurant, poolside and lakefront service areas, and banquet and event functions.
Pay: $11/hr + Tips
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages with precision and flair, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Engage with guests in a friendly, professional manner, providing excellent customer service that enhances their overall resort experience.
- Manage POS systems to process orders accurately, handle cash transactions, and ensure proper cash handling procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, adhering to food safety and food handling standards at all times.
- Monitor guest behavior to promote a safe, family-friendly environment, especially during busy poolside and banquet events.
- Restock bar supplies efficiently while managing time effectively during high-volume periods.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff and event coordinators for catering or banquet services to ensure seamless service delivery.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a bartender in a restaurant, resort, or hospitality setting; fine dining or banquet experience is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with POS systems for order processing and cash handling.
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling techniques.
- Excellent time management skills to juggle multiple orders efficiently during peak hours.
- Demonstrated ability in sales, upselling drinks, and providing exceptional customer service.
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling, retail math understanding, and bill splitting.
- Knowledge of food and beverage industry trends, including brewing techniques or beverage crafting, is a plus.
