Join our dynamic healthcare team as an Autonomous Family Nurse Practitioner, where you will play a pivotal role in delivering comprehensive, patient-centered care across diverse settings. This position empowers you to utilize your advanced clinical skills and autonomous decision-making capabilities to improve health outcomes for individuals of all ages. You will operate independently within a collaborative practice environment, managing a broad scope of medical services, including acute and chronic care, preventive health, and specialized treatments. Your expertise will directly impact community health by providing accessible, high-quality care in various outpatient and inpatient settings.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including physical examinations, vital signs, and medical history reviews to inform accurate diagnoses.
- Prescribe medications and treatment plans in compliance with state regulations and collaborative practice agreements.
- Perform advanced procedures such as suturing, IV insertions, catheterizations, and dermal fillers with precision and adherence to sterile techniques.
- Manage complex cases involving acute pain management, infectious disease care, geriatrics, behavioral health, and hospice & palliative medicine.
- Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks for documentation, order entry, and patient data management while ensuring HIPAA compliance.
- Collaborate seamlessly with healthcare professionals across specialties including cardiology, gastroenterology, ICU teams, and occupational health to optimize patient care.
- Provide telehealth consultations to expand access to care and support patients remotely while maintaining high standards of clinical excellence.
Skills
- Proven experience working with diverse patient populations including children, seniors, individuals with developmental disabilities or memory care needs.
- Strong proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Athenahealth; familiarity with CPT coding and ICD-10/ICD-9 coding standards for accurate documentation.
- Skilled in performing complex procedures like spinal taps, sonography, gastrostomy tube feeding management, and ventilator support.
- Critical care experience in ICU or Level I/II trauma centers; hospital medicine or emergency room experience highly valued.
- Knowledge of Workers' compensation law and outpatient clinic workflows; experience in hospice & palliative medicine is a plus.
- Capable of managing urgent situations through triage skills and acute care expertise; adept at medication administration including injections and drug management regulations (DEA).
- Excellent client communication skills with the ability to educate patients on health coaching strategies and treatment options effectively.
