Unit Information:
- Beds: N/A, will go throughout hospital
- Census: Average patients/day:
Minimum Years of Experience required: 2 years
- Will you accept a first-time traveler: If candidate has 5+ years of experience, then will accept first-time traveler
Patient Types/Common Diagnoses:
- Neonate to geriatric with respiratory issues. No NICU here but will respond to c-sections and assist with newborns.
Required License, National Certification, Certs:
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP
- RRT only, will not accept CRT
Skills required:
- Assist with intubations, vent experience, nebulizer, bipap, cpap, ABG collection, comfortable responding to codes and rapid responses
Support within the Department:
- 2 RT on shift
- House Supervisor 24/7
- Manager/Supervisor
- Hospitalist 24/7
- Rapid Response/Code Team
Technology/Equipment:
- EMR: EPIC
- Med dispensing: Pyxis
- Monitors:
- Unit specific equipment: V60 and V30 bipap, Servo-U Vents, Hamilton and ParaPac transport vents
Floating: If yes, where:
Orientation (facility and unit) :
- NEO
- 1 shift to learn the flow
Scheduling:
- Weekend rotation: Every third weekend
- On call: None
- Holiday Expectations: 50% of holidays per contract
- Approval of RTO: ok to approve up to 5 days
- Shift times: 0600-1830, 1800-0630
